Chinese Cop Kills Kidnapper [chinese]. Old school gangsta style.

The guy fell five stories. With two shots to the head.

update: Dead Kidnapper Found Alive in Coffin via xulong:

A MAN who was shot by police after kidnapping two children and then shipped off to be cremated was found to be alive by funeral workers who heard him groan. Zhang Kailin, 36, was shot at point-blank range and fell to the ground from a five-storey window ledge after a tense two-hour standoff at a school in central Hebei province, the Beijing Daily Messenger said. He had taken two children hostage and demanded ransom before police moved in.

The paper said his body was put in a coffin and taken to a funeral home where it was to be refrigerated before being cremated. But funeral home workers heard a groan on opening the coffin and were shocked to find the man still alive. They rushed him to hospital. "This has never happened before. Workers were opening the coffin for a photo examination and heard the man groan," said the funeral home director surnamed Zhang. "We were shocked." Police in Shijiazhuang city refused to comment. There was no word on Zhang's condition nor whether the children were hurt.

umm, why do you think so?

The guy was sitting on a windowsill right next to a window the cops had access too. Looks pretty easy to me. If sniping, a miniscule error could have resulted in the kid being hit, as he'd be maybe a degree off from the target. This way, the cop could shoot the guy point blank while keeping the kid well out of the line of fire. Looks to me like they made a good call.

No shit... all the fuckeups that have replied the repugnant shit that they have to this situation are fucked...

OK this is a skrewed up situation... yeah the guy is crazy... but quotes like "aw... the kid is crying. cop shoulda used a silencer :-) and "My sincere hope is that one of the cops went to the crematorium, fired a couple more rounds into the dipshit's head, then told the funeral directors that they must have made a mistake" make me sick to my stomach... These people should be ashamed of themselves. This is bullshit. Fuck you all.

Why? are you really that surprised that people show malice to a criminal? The man was possibly going to murder children to get what he wanted. I can't say I like the idea of a cop shooting him up any more, but the dude fucked with the cops, they believed him to be serious, and they took care of it. He got what he deserved, he's been labeled a "bad guy" and people usually assume that "bad guys" should, you know, die. And I agree with the inital comment, if we had cops in the US willing to do shit like this, there would be a lot less crime. Criminals would know that every time a crime was commited there is a chance they could die, instead of being sent to a jail for 48 hours and then released.

Don't be so surprised at the lack of compassion of strangers.
